I have been a

  Marriage and Family Therapist

 for 8 years.   

At the moment, I am only 

taking on new, individual clients.  However, my students have immediate openings for couples and families. 

I am a Qualified Supervisor MFT and Qualified Supervisor MHC in Florida.

In the past, I served as as a high school teacher and a military spouse.  

I lived in Colorado from 1999 - 2022, 

and now live in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

My normal hours for practice are:

Tuesday through Friday 

from 8am to 5pm

I am pursuing my Master of Arts, 

Marriage and Family Therapy through

National University.  

  I am completing my clinical training from August 2024 - September 2025.

As the spouse of a retired Air Force veteran and overseas contractor, mother of 5, and grandmother of 4, I am all too familiar with how difficult the demands of everyday life can become.  

If you are struggling with life’s many challenges, you don’t have to be alone in your battle.  

I use my education, experience, and skills to meet  individuals, couples, and families where they are and work with them to  activate their strengths and abilities to achieve the goals they want.  I  will give you the tools and support you need to lessen your load and  help you successfully navigate the storm you are encountering.      

I am also EMDR  trained and can offer this powerful therapy for the treatment of trauma  and other issues.

I am currently a master's student in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Capella University, with my internship spanning from January 2025 to December 2025. I bring six years of experience in the mental health field, including serving as a mental health crisis counselor and facilitating psychosocial rehabilitation groups. These roles have deepened my understanding of human resilience and the importance of creating safe, supportive spaces for growth and healing.

I am passionate about using my experience, empathy, and education to work collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families as they navigate challenges and strive for meaningful change. I believe that genuine connection and understanding are at the heart of therapeutic work.

Virginia Satir once said, “Problems are not the problem; coping is the problem.” This perspective inspires me to empower people to develop healthier coping mechanisms and build stronger relationships to better navigate life’s challenges and rely on their own resilience and resources with confidence. 

My available hours are: 

Tuesday-Friday from 1pm-5pm
